Sample collection requirements
About 3–5 ml of blood is drawn from a vein in the arm by a trained phlebotomist.
How to prepare
- Fast for 10–12 hours before the sample. Plain water is allowed.
- Avoid alcohol and heavy exercise for 24 hours before the test.
